It’s a sunny 
Monday morning here in the GTA, and I’ve just finished up a new morning routine; breakfast, some stretching, and a shower. I thought I would slip onto the site and do up a new post on what to expect in the coming weeks/months before writing.
It was briefly mentioned in the previous post that both Smoke Chaser & Goode Pain will be making a comeback. My initial plan was just a nice, simple edit to clean up anything that may have been missed, but obviously, things don’t always go as planned!
Goode Pain will still follow that route—it’s my Smoke Chaser series that’s getting a serious revamp! So, let’s break it down a bit, shall we? 
Wildfire 
Again, the plan was a simple edit…but then I got to thinking about the shorts I wrote, the “Quinntessential Shorts” from Quinn’s POV. For some reason, it felt right to switch the single POV of our heroine to a DUAL POV, adding our Hero in there. What do we think? I’m vibing with it so far, hardcore!
So, though “Wildfire” will be put back on KDP in both digital and paperback, it’s actually going to be a couple weeks until it gets there while I rewrite it.
Firestorm
The second in the Smoke Chaser series had been planned for an edit as well, with small story tweaks. However, with the first book being essentially rewritten with the dual POV, I will have to heavily rewrite this instalment as well.
I’m going to give a loose ETA of the first quarter of 2025 for re-release.
Fireline
This is where we get into the heavier workload; the plan from square one was always to scrap & rewrite. This entire book is flawed, imo. The story is weak and starts to lose what made the series special.
So, with needing to do the dual POV, this one is getting a hard reboot. I don’t know when this will be re-released, *maybe* end of 2025? That is a very loose maybe!
Fire Whirl
The final original instalment is part II of the heavier workload. This was a weak ending to the series & badly needs to be rewritten from page one; talk about going out with a whimper.
Again, the new dual POV is another additive to the process and will slow it down a touch. A loose idea of re-release will be mid-2026. Very loose.

Bringing it back now, my real focus is honestly just enjoying writing. I want to enjoy my stories and not put pressure on myself to follow a release schedule, or even a writing schedule, tbh.
A big part of the c-PTSD has been my losing all passion and refuge in being a writer; I don’t want to set myself back by establishing unrealistic expectations for myself or for readers. Slow & steady!
Now I’m gonna take the rest of the day to do what I enjoy! I’m gonna write on “Wildfire”, do one of my many hobbies, & snuggle one (or multiple 
) of the cats.
I hope you’re able to find the time to do something you enjoy today. And it doesn’t have to be something productive, either; whatever gives you a small amount of happiness
